A human-edited directory of Latin and Afro-Latin dance socials and festivals — so dancers can answer “what's on tonight?” without scrolling Instagram.

What it is

Socialpass is a public directory of real weekly socials and multi-day festivals, focused first on salsa, bachata, kizomba, and zouk. Each listing is added by a human, tied to a verifiable source when one exists, and kept under a rolling freshness audit.

The product position is socials first, festivals second: the gap most dance calendars leave open is the recurring night in your city, not another congress flyer wall.

Right now the live directory holds 1,611 events across 517 cities in 121 countries. Those numbers are the current seed — not a marketing claim about being the largest anything.

• Organizers who want a free public listing — and, when they choose, on-site ticketing.

What it is not

• Not a single studio’s website or class scheduler.
• Not a review site — we list what is on, not scores.
• Not a dancer social network with public profiles or feeds.
• Not an auto-scraped calendar. Empty coverage beats invented nights.

How current the listings are

Wrong dates and dead links damage trust faster than a thin city page does, so every listing carries the date a human last checked it. That date is what city pages mean by “checked 2 months ago” — it describes our review, not the event.

A full audit runs monthly. Between audits, a weekly social goes stale at 90 days and a festival at 60 — two missed cycles rather than one, so the warning means something when you see it. Anything past its threshold, and anything we have never checked at all, is treated as stale and shows a link to verify the listing rather than being presented as current.

What this does not mean: we are not calling the organizer the night before. A checked date is the last time someone confirmed the listing against a real source. Plans change after that, and the event page always links out to the organizer so you can confirm for yourself.
